Funding And Payments

For certifiable (WSQ) and non-certifiable (non-WSQ) courses approved by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), self-sponsored individuals and companies (SMEs and Non-SMEs) can apply under the following grant schemes to subsidise the course fees.

You may be eligible for up to 70% SkillsFuture subsidies. Please contact us for more details on your grant/funding eligibility.

With Cause:


Applicant can opt for immediate withdrawal from the Course by giving written notice to Training Vision Institute stating his/her intention and will be entitled to full refund of the entire course fee and miscellaneous fee (if any) already paid within seven (7) working days from date of the withdrawal notice.

Without Cause:

Where the Applicant withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those set out under "Withdrawal/Refund for Cause", Training Vision Institute shall as soon as practicable after receiving the Applicant's written notice of withdrawal (and in any event no more than seven (7) working days after receiving such notice) refund to the Applicant the following sums illustrated below. No refund will be allowed after course commencement, this also applies for bundled/packaged courses once the first course has commenced.

For cancellation/rescheduling of your registered course, kindly inform us at least 14 days before the course start date in order to get a refund on the course fees.

The admin fees for rescheduling are as follows:

• More than 14 days before the course commencement date – 50%
• Before, but not more than 14 days before the course commencement date – 0%
• After the course commencement date – 0%

Funding For Company-Sponsored (Non-SME)

Companies (SME) can apply under the following grants schemes to subsidies the course fees:

• Absentee Payroll
• Enhanced Training Support for SMEs
• SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)

All locally registered or incorporated organisations in Singapore are eligible for course fee and Absentee Payroll (AP) funding. It is a grant to help employers to defray the manpower costs incurred when they sponsor their Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident employees for training courses funded by SSG/ certifiable skills training during working hours.



With effect from 1 January 2022, a fixed Absentee Payroll (AP) rate at $4.50 per hour was introduced by SSG.

You may still be eligible for absentee payroll when the course takes place on the weekend.



Companies can claim absentee payroll of a standardised $4.50/hr. In addition to absentee payroll, for weekend classes employers are expected to pay OT.



There is no need to apply for the course fee funding as it is automatically computered and deducted from the course fee.



After the course, employers will receive a notification to login to Enterprise Portal for Jobs & Skills (EPJS) via CorpPass to declare the employment details for the trainee.

For Singaporean Citizens and Permanent Resident employees aged 21 to 39, companies (non-SMEs) can apply for funding of 50% of course fees.



For Singaporean Citizens employees aged 40 and above, companies (non-SMEs) can apply for funding of up to 70% of course fees.

To apply or claim funding for employees, employers need to register their employees for a certifiable (WSQ) course at Training Vision Institute. Upon completing your registration with us, we will apply for the training grant on your behalf via SSG’s TPGateway portal.

Funding For Company-Sponsored (SME)

To be eligible for a self-employed training grant, your company must be registered in Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and you should be contributing to the Central Provident Fund (CPF) to yourself.

ETSS is an initiative that provides enhanced funding to enable SMEs to send their employees for training.

To apply for the Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS) grant, employers need to register their employees for a certifiable (WSQ) course at Training Vision Institute. Upon completing your registration with us, we will apply for the training grant on your behalf via SSG’s TPGateway portal.


The SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) encourages employers to invest in enterprise transformation and capabilities of their employees. Eligible employers will receive a one-off S$10,000 credit to cover up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses on qualifying costs for supportable initiatives, over and above the support levels of existing schemes.

Funding for Self-Sponsored (Individuals)

SSG grants available for self-sponsored individuals:

• 70% SSG funding — SkillsFuture Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES)
• 50% SSG funding — Singapore Citizens & Permanent Residences (21 – 39 years old)
• SkillsFuture Credit



Self-sponsored Singapore Citizen can offset any remaining course fees after their SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) or Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) funds.

Introduced in 2015, all Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of $500 in their SkillsFuture Credit account. This credit can be used to offset any outstanding course fees for SkillsFuture approved courses.

Singapore Citizens can use their PSEA funds to pay for approved fees and charges for WSQ programmes.



The PSEA account will be closed on the year account holder turns 31 years of age. Any unused funds in the PSEA will be transferred to the account’s holder’s Central Provident Fund (CPF).

The SkillsFuture Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy is for Singapore Citizens aged 40 years old and above.



For eligible individual, you can benefit from up to 70% SSG subsidy for certifiable-skills training courses and you will only need to pay the nett fee (full course fee after SSG’s grant).

Upon registering for a certifiable-skills training course, please indicate your residential status, age, and monthly income for us to access your eligibility.



We will apply for the MCES grant on your behalf. You will only need to pay the nett fee, attend and complete the course, and pass the assessment.

*Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) is a training benefit for NTUC members to defray their cost of training. This benefit is to encourage more union members to go for skills upgrading.
