Training Vision Institute offers the E-Commerce Jumpstart, a programme that will provide you with the key elements you need to start and expand your online business store.

Integrating modules that are essential in expanding your online retail space, this programme contains the key pillars of e-commerce success including knowledge of the digital tools you can use, getting viral on social media and learning how to provide an excellent customer experience.

There is no better time than now to set up your online business store in Singapore. However, with everyone else setting up their own online retail space, you might be wondering how you can set your business apart from others, especially your competitors. With E-Commerce Jumpstart, you will acquire all the fundamentals of an online business store, from setting it up to expanding it.

It is comprised of 5 modules which may be completed for a total of 121 hours.

Upon completion of each module, a Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded by SSG and IDCL Profile Certificate.

Module 1: IDCL Perform Image Editing Functions

The Image Editing module covers the main concepts and skills needed to use and work with images. This module develops good practice when creating, editing, and outputting digital images.

Module 2: User Experience Design

Create user experience design concepts, develop user flow charts and drive modifications or enhancements to the product or service features.

Module 3: Technology Application

Course Ref. No.: TGS-2020505091

Implement technology plans and assess the effectiveness of new technologies on work operations or processes.

Module 4: Social Media Marketing

Course Ref. No.: TGS-2022014148

Proactively seek and evaluate innovative marketing opportunities to enhance customer engagement while adhering to legal and ethical practices for use of social media.

Module 5: Customer Experience Management

Course Ref. No. : TGS-2021005537

Analyse implications of customer profiles, requirements and buying patterns on organisation's marketing strategy, and propose customer engagement initiatives.

  • Minimum GCE ‘N’ Level, ITC or NITEC certificate
  • Preferably 3 years of working experience

AND

  • English Language Requirement
  • GCE ‘N’ English (minimum C6 grade) OR
  • Workplace Literacy (Intermediate Level) Level 3/4

Assessments are done by the end of each module.

1. Singaporeans and Permanent Residents have to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the SSG fund, failing which the 
participant will be liable to pay the full course fees to Training Vision Institute.

a) Met a minimum of 75% in attendance and in E-learning hours

b) Qualify as Competent in all WSQ Assessments

c) Met other SSG eligibility criteria

2. Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to offset the course fee after subsidies.
3. Participants with Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) can apply to use the PSEA fund for the course fee.
4. Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) is not included. A non-refundable application fee of $53.50 for local students and $214 for international students will apply.

For face-to-face class, a hard copy learner’s guide will be given, for L1 and L3 modules. For L4 and L5 modules, materials are available in TVI Online (Learning Management Systems).


Our course consultant will advise you if you need to bring along a laptop. You also have the option to loan a laptop from us for the duration of the course. You may also want to bring along a jacket in case the room gets cold.

For online classes, do ensure you have a functional laptop and have Zoom installed prior to class.

You are required to have basic computer navigational skills such as opening and closing, dragging and dropping, copying and pasting of files.
